Saxon Mill - The history of the wedding venue
Saxon Mill, originally known as Gibbeclive Mill in the 12th century, has a rich and fascinating history. It was once the property of the Augustinian canons of St Mary's Abbey in Kenilworth. After the Dissolution of the Monasteries, it became part of the Guy's Cliffe estate. The mill was rebuilt in 1822 and continued to be a working mill until 1938. In 1952, it was converted into a restaurant and bar, and today it stands as a beautiful and unique wedding venue, retaining its historic charm and character.
