Frequently Asked Questions by Category
Booking & Pricing
How soon should we book a wedding photographer?
We recommend booking your wedding photographer 12-18 months in advance, especially if you have a popular wedding date like a Saturday in peak season (May to October). The best photographers often book up quickly, particularly for weekend dates. If you're planning a destination wedding or getting married during a holiday weekend, consider booking even earlier.
For couples with shorter timelines, don't worry! We often have availability for weekday weddings or off-season dates. The key is to reach out as soon as possible to discuss your options.
How do we book you?
Booking with us is straightforward and stress-free. First, contact us through our website, email, or phone to check our availability for your wedding date. We'll schedule a consultation (either in-person or virtual) to discuss your vision, answer any questions, and ensure we're the perfect fit for your special day.
Once you decide to move forward, we'll send you a detailed contract and booking form. A deposit is required to secure your date, with the remaining balance due 6 weeks before your wedding. We accept various payment methods for your convenience.
What are your packages and pricing?
Our wedding photography packages are designed to meet different needs and budgets. We offer several options ranging from intimate elopement coverage to full-day celebrations with multiple photographers. Each package includes professional editing, an online gallery, and high-resolution digital images.
For detailed pricing information, please see our wedding packages page, or if you require something bespoke, please contact us directly. We believe in transparent pricing and will provide you with a comprehensive quote based on your specific needs. We also offer add-ons like engagement sessions, additional coverage hours, and premium albums.
What happens next after we have paid the deposit to secure our date?
Once your deposit is received, your wedding date is exclusively yours! We'll send you a welcome pack with helpful planning resources and timeline suggestions. About 6-8 weeks before your wedding, we'll schedule your pre-wedding consultation to discuss all the final details, create your shot list, and plan your timeline.
We'll also stay in touch throughout your planning process and are always available to answer questions or provide advice. Our goal is to make sure you feel completely prepared and excited about your wedding photography.
Photography Style & Approach
What is your photography style?
Our photography style blends documentary storytelling with editorial-styled portraits. We focus on capturing authentic emotions and candid moments while also creating beautiful, timeless portraits. Our approach is unobtrusive yet complete, ensuring we capture all the important mome, whilst you enjoy your special day.
We believe every couple has a unique story, and our goal is to tell yours through images that reflect your personalities and the genuine joy of your wedding day. Our editing style is natural and timeless, enhancing the beauty of your moments without over-processing.
How are the images edited?
We review each and every image and select the best from all the photos taken on your wedding day. Each selected image is professionally edited. As award-winning, fully qualified professional photographers with expertise in portraiture, we focus on colour correction, exposure adjustment, cropping and composition, minimal skin retouching, and background enhancement for overall consistency.
We maintain a natural, timeless editing style that enhances your photos without making them look overprocessed. We do not alter physical appearances such as body shape or facial features or remove tattoos unless specifically requested (additional charges may apply). You will never receive unedited RAW images, as professional editing is a crucial part of our service and something we take great pride in.
Do you take formal family photos?
Absolutely!
Family photos are an important part of your wedding day, and we're experienced in organising and capturing these special group shots efficiently. During your pre-wedding consultation, we'll work with you to create a detailed list of the family combinations you want photographed.
We recommend allocating 20-30 minutes for family photos, depending on the size of your families and the number of combinations desired. Our approach is organised and friendly, ensuring everyone feels comfortable while keeping the process moving smoothly.
Why should we have a pre-wedding consultation?
Your pre-wedding consultation is where the magic begins! This dedicated time allows us to get to know you as a couple, understand your vision, and plan every detail of your photography coverage. We'll discuss your timeline, special moments you want captured, family dynamics, and any unique elements of your celebration.
This consultation ensures that on your wedding day, we're not just photographers—we're part of your team who understands exactly what matters most to you. It's also a fantastic opportunity for you to ask any final questions and feel completely confident about your choice.
Wedding Day Logistics
What if I have a shorter intimate wedding day?
Intimate weddings are absolutely beautiful, and we love photographing them! Whether you're having a small ceremony with just immediate family or an elopement for two, we can create a photography package that perfectly fits your celebration.
For shorter events, we focus on capturing the most important moments while still providing you with a comprehensive gallery that tells your love story. We'll work with you to identify the key moments and create a timeline that maximises our coverage time.
What if we have more than one location on the day to be photographed?
Multiple locations are no problem! Many couples choose to have their ceremony at one venue and reception at another or want to include a special location for portraits. We're experienced in managing multi-location weddings and will work with you to create a timeline that allows for smooth transitions.
We'll factor in travel time between locations and may recommend specific timing to ensure the best lighting and flow for your day. Additional travel time between distant locations may affect our coverage recommendations, which we'll discuss during your consultation.
How far do you travel?
We're based in Coventry, but love photographing weddings throughout Warwickshire and the UK. Owning a campervan enables us to be able to travel to locations the day before your big day. For weddings within our local region, there are no travel fees. For destinations beyond our local area, we may charge a minimal travel fee.
We're always excited about destination weddings and unique venues! Some of our most memorable weddings have been in beautiful, far-off locations. Contact us to discuss your venue, and we'll provide transparent pricing for any travel requirements.
What if it rains on our wedding day?
Weather is one thing we can't control, but we can certainly prepare for it! We always discuss backup plans during your consultation and work with your venue to identify covered areas for ceremonies and photos if needed.
Rain can actually create some incredibly romantic and unique photo opportunities. We come prepared with protective gear for our equipment and can work with umbrellas, covered porches, and indoor spaces to ensure you still get beautiful photos regardless of the weather. Many of our couples favourite photos have been taken in unexpected weather conditions!
Delivery & Products
When will I receive my photos?
We understand how excited you are to see your wedding photos! We deliver a sneak peek of images within 24-48 hours after your wedding. Your complete gallery of professionally edited images will be ready within 6 weeks of your wedding date.
We believe in taking the time necessary to ensure every image meets our high standards rather than rushing the editing process.
How many photos will we receive?
The number of photos depends on your package and the length of coverage. For a full 8-hour wedding day, most couples receive 600-800 beautifully edited images.
We focus on quality over quantity, carefully curating your gallery to include the best moments, emotions, and details from your day. Every image in your gallery will be professionally edited and ready to print or share.
Do you offer albums and prints?
Yes! We offer a range of premium albums and prints to help you preserve and display your wedding memories. Our albums are crafted with high-quality materials and professional printing to ensure they last for generations.
To view the range of premium albums and prints that we can provide, please take a look towards the bottom of our packages page.
We can also provide guidance on the best images for printing and recommend sizes and formats for different spaces in your home. While digital galleries are convenient for sharing, there's something special about holding physical prints and albums that showcase your love story.
Do we get the rights to our photos?
Yes, you receive full personal usage rights to all images in your wedding gallery. This means you can print, share on social media, and use the images for personal purposes without restriction. We only ask that you do not alter images yourself.
The images remain copyrighted to us as the photographers, which is standard practice in the industry. This protects the artistic integrity of our work while giving you complete freedom to enjoy and share your photos.
Technical & Professional
Are you insured?
Yes, we carry comprehensive professional liability insurance and equipment insurance. This protects both you and us in the unlikely event of any issues. We can provide proof of insurance to your venue if required.
Professional insurance is essential in our industry, and we believe it demonstrates our commitment to running a professional business that you can trust with one of the most important days of your life.
What kind of equipment do you use?
We use professional-grade camera equipment from leading manufacturers, including multiple camera bodies, a variety of lenses for different situations, and professional lighting equipment when needed. Our equipment is specifically chosen for its reliability, and ability to perform in various lighting conditions.
We're always investing in the latest technology to ensure we can capture the highest quality images in any situation, from dimly lit churches to bright outdoor ceremonies.
Do you have backup equipment?
Absolutely!
We bring backup cameras, lenses, memory cards, and batteries to every wedding. Equipment can fail at any time, and we're prepared for any situation. We also have backup lighting equipment and other essential gear.
This backup equipment ensures that technical issues never impact your wedding photography. We've never missed capturing important moments due to equipment failure, and we intend to keep it that way!
Do you work with a second photographer?
For most full-day weddings, we recommend having a second photographer to ensure comprehensive coverage. A second photographer allows us to capture multiple perspectives during key moments like the ceremony and reception and enables us to photograph both partners getting ready simultaneously.
The decision to include a second photographer depends on your venue size, guest count, and personal preferences. We'll discuss the benefits during your consultation and help you decide what's best for your specific celebration.
As a husband and wife team who have been together for 20+ years, photographing many weddings, we know exactly how each other works, ensuring we can both capture every moment of your special day seamlessly.
What about our privacy and data protection?
We take your privacy seriously and comply with all GDPR requirements. All your personal information and wedding photos are handled with the utmost care and security. We use secure, encrypted storage systems and never share your images without your explicit permission.
For complete details about how we protect your privacy and handle your data, please visit our Privacy Policy page. During our consultation, we're happy to discuss any specific privacy concerns you may have.
Can we make changes to our package after booking?
While we encourage finalising all details during your consultation, we understand that wedding plans can evolve. We'll discuss our policy for any package modifications and work with you to accommodate reasonable changes when possible.
The earlier we know about any adjustments, the better we can plan for your special day. Some changes may affect pricing or availability, which we'll communicate clearly and transparently.
What if we have special cultural or religious traditions?
We love learning about and photographing diverse cultural and religious traditions! During our consultation, please share any special ceremonies, customs, or traditions that are part of your wedding celebration. This helps us understand the significance of different moments and ensures we capture them respectfully and beautifully.
We've had the privilege of photographing weddings from many different cultural backgrounds, and we always approach each tradition with respect and enthusiasm. Your heritage and customs are an important part of your love story, and we're honoured to document them.
