From the first light of day through to the dance floor, Holly and Tanysha’s wedding was bathed in warmth — not just from the weather, which remained dry and pleasantly warm all day, but from the love, laughter, and joy that surrounded them. As part of the Award Winning Husband & Wife team from SimplyGreatShots Photography, it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of their celebration, capturing each moment with pride and excitement.
Getting Ready: Moments of Anticipation
Holly’s Preparations
Monima photographed Holly’s bridal preparations, a time full of gentle excitement, shared laughter, and quiet reflections. Holly chose a stunning off‑shoulder gown in white for the daytime ceremony — elegant, soft, and beautifully framed by the light of her surroundings.
Tanysha’s Preparations
Meanwhile, Carl photographed Tanysha as she prepared for her own walk down the aisle. Tanysha’s ensemble for the day was a sharp black wedding suit with cummerbund, a confident, striking contrast. The air was full of emotion as family and bridesmaids hovered nearby — supportive, excited, and loving.
The energy in both rooms was uplifting: nerves and anticipation, yes — but also calm, joy, and a sense of “OMG we are actually going to do this!”
The Evening Looks & Sparkler Magic
As evening approached, the transformation from both Brides was stunning.
- Holly’s second dress: another off‑shoulder gown, this time in black — chic, dramatic, and elegant.
- Tanysha’s evening outfit: a short‑sleeve black shirt paired with a black bow tie — bold and refined.
With dusk settling, we created one of our favourite moments of any wedding day: the sparkler shot. We light the sparklers, and in the dimming light we captured two signature images:
- Holly & Tanysha forming a heart shape with their sparklers, framed by the glow.
- Their initials— their personal mark — traced in light, a poetic and personal touch.
These images — soft, luminous, intimate — embody the warmth and unity of the day.
Celebrations, Dance & Emotion
After the formalities, the evening flowed into dancing, laughter, and joy.
When the first dance began, the couple moved to Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing” — a powerful, emotional choice. The moment was intimate, heartfelt, and beautifully captured. From there, Holly, Tanysha and their guests danced late into the night — every beat a celebration of their love.
We stayed with them past the first dance, going above and beyond (as we always do), ensuring we captured the energy, expressions, and connections across the room.
Highlights We’ll Always Remember
The elegance of both brides — day and night — and how beautifully their outfits contrasted.
- The sparkler portraits, magical in their simplicity and emotional resonance.
- The warmth and friendliness of family and guests: every smile, hug, and moment added richness to their story.
- The emotional depth — from quiet glances during the ceremony to full‑on celebration on the dance floor.
