From the moment we arrived at the stunning Eastwood Hall for Ed and Hailey's September wedding, we knew it was going to be a day to remember. The air was filled with an infectious excitement, and it was clear that this was a celebration of two people who are not only deeply in love but also share a wonderful sense of fun.

The Ceremony: A Touch of Spontaneity

The civil ceremony was held in the elegant Macgregor Suite, which was beautifully decorated with deep red and cream rose petals and the soft glow of cream candle lanterns. As guests took their seats, little did they know they were in for a treat! In a moment that perfectly captured the couple's playful spirit, many of the wedding guests danced down the aisle to Chris Brown's 'Forever'. Ed's reaction was priceless – a mixture of surprise and amusement, and it wasn't long before he joined in the fun himself! It was a truly unique and joyful start to the proceedings.

Amidst all the laughter, the atmosphere turned to one of heartfelt emotion as Hailey, looking absolutely radiant, walked down the aisle with her proud father. The ceremony that followed was filled with love, meaningful glances, and the promises of a lifetime together.

Post-Ceremony Celebrations: Confetti, Streamers, and a Bouquet Toss!

With the weather on our side, we headed out into the picturesque gardens of Eastwood Hall for a confetti walk. The happy couple were showered with confetti and colourful streamers, creating a vibrant and celebratory scene that made for some fantastic photographs. We can just imagine the joy on their faces as they look back at these images!

The gardens also provided the perfect backdrop for some more traditional wedding photographs, including the much-anticipated bouquet toss. The lucky lady to catch the beautiful bouquet was Hailey's best friend, Shirin, who had flown all the way from New York to be there for their special day. Her excited exclamation of "soon!" suggests we might be seeing her at another wedding in the near future!

The Reception: A Global Gathering and a Trip Back in Time

Hailey and Ed's time working abroad meant that their wedding was a truly international affair, with guests from as far afield as Germany and America. It was wonderful to see so many people from different corners of the world coming together to celebrate with the happy couple.

The wedding reception was held in the grand Chatterley Suite, where a huge top table was set for the wedding party. The speeches were a highlight of the evening, with heartfelt words from Hailey and Ed, Hailey's Dad, Ed's brother James, Shirin, and man of honour Alex. It was clear just how much love and support this couple has from their friends and family.

As the evening progressed, the dance floor was well and truly alive with the sounds of 80s and 90s classics. We have to admit, we were quietly singing along as we worked! It's moments like these that make being a wedding photographer so special – you get to be a part of the joy and celebration as the day unfolds.

We were also incredibly grateful to Hailey and Ed for providing us with a delicious meal at the reception. It's a small gesture that makes a big difference to busy photographers!

A Final Word

Ed and Hailey's wedding was a perfect reflection of them as a couple – fun, full of love, and surrounded by wonderful people. We feel so honoured to have been a part of their special day and to have captured these precious memories for them. We wish them both a lifetime of happiness together.
