The History of Ashton Lodge Country House

Ashton Lodge was built during the Edwardian era and retains period features that contribute to its character today. Set in approximately three acres of grounds in Stretton under Fosse, the country house brings together a sense of history and a peaceful Warwickshire setting.

Before becoming a wedding venue, the property was a small hotel. In 2018, The Venue Group acquired the business, while The Wigley Group purchased the building. Today, Ashton Lodge hosts weddings as an exclusive-use country house venue.

For wedding photographs, that history provides more than a backdrop. The house gives portraits a sense of place, while the gardens and celebration spaces offer opportunities to capture the changing atmosphere of the day.

As your day moves into the Ashton Barn and the evening celebrations, we can photograph the details you have chosen as well as the speeches, reactions and celebrations. Coverage depends on the collection you choose.

We always consider the weather and available light when planning portraits. If it rains, we can discuss indoor options with you and the venue team, and make use of a break in the weather if one appears.

Yes. Ashton Lodge currently permits dried natural flower petals or lavender confetti outdoors. Paper confetti, rice and confetti cannons are not permitted. Please check the venue’s latest guidance before buying confetti, as rules can change.

How do we know we are booking a genuine wedding photographer?

We believe in being open with our couples: our home address is included on our wedding documents and contracts, and you are welcome to meet us in person at our home.
